Truck drawing juice

Asked by Dodge2016 Mar 21, 2017 at 03:53 PM about the 1998 Ford F-150 XL LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 98 Ford F-150 that is drawing juice without
anything on. Went threw the fuze box and pulled
one by one and came to the windshield wiper motor
fuze and pulled it no longer drawing juice. Could it
be the wiper motor ? Or in the turn signal bar ?

The good news is you found the offending circuit, at this point you may want to pick up a multimeter and find a circuit diagram for that circuit and look for shorts or draws. It could be the motor itself, based on what you have written but that's just a guess. Keep in mind too when pulling fuses looking for one that is drawing excessive current that constantly opening and closing the door will keep certain computer modules in an active state and drawing more current than normal, however I don't think that affected your results in this case.
