Won't catch gear right away...

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey y'all

Just finished redoing the steering
and suspension on my truck as well
as fluid changes (along with tranny
pan gasket and filter) and I noticed
that when I put it into gear now it
takes till between 2-3000 rpm for the
gear to catch...as well as idleinf at
about .5rpm. Any ideas? I think
cause my alignment is currently off it
just requires more power but you can
actually hear it click into gear...

The alignment should have absolutely no effect on the shifting of the tranny. Get the tranny up to operating temp and check the level. Are you sure you used the correct filter and fluid?
