fuel pump not kicking on when u turn the key over...replaced the started , starter solenoid, fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel relay, and checked the inertia switch so eveything is fine, i also checked the power going to the pump and it lights up... what should i do next?

There is a possibility you received a bad pump out of the box. Check the spec on the pump and determine how many volts suppose to be supplied to it. Check the voltage at the connection to the pump. If you are getting the correct voltage, suspect the pump. Remove it again and have it tested.

the pump is good when i dropped the tank again i hooked it straight up the the battery and it kicked on ... i'm thinking there might be a bad ground somewhere

Then check for voltage directly at the connection at the pump. If you do not get 12 volts, or whatever is called for, at the positive and negative leads then you have found the problem.
