how come when you turn the key on a Ford F150 Extended Cab XLT? and nothing comes on, all it does is click, it sounds like it is coming from the computer box

How come when you go to turn the key on a 1997
Ford F150 Extended Cab and .when you go to turn
the key on all it does is click? Does it have a
computer box?

I thought it was the computer box, cause the clicking sound comes from underneath the steering column

Do you have good battery power?? turn your headlights on are they bright? if not check your battery, if that checks out then under the hood near the battery there is a starter solenoid, with the truck in park, key in the run position, jump the two large terminals to see if it cranks over.
