Need help

Asked by Murphy Feb 04, 2016 at 02:57 PM about the 1997 Ford F-150 XLT Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Want to know if I can put a 1993 5.8 out of a f-250
will fit in my 1997 f-150 and how hard will it be.  Or
what would be an easiet better replacement

1 Answer

The 97 would have a Triton engine. The older engine would never pass smog inspection so I would get another 5.4 Triton which should have more power and better fuel economy than the 5.8.
