Overheating and raw gas being pumped into exhaust

Question type: General

I can run my truck for a while and it will overheat.  I thought it
was the O2 sensor or the fuel pressure regulator,  so I
replaced them both.  I seen the exhaust was rusted,  had that
replaced.  The cylinders may be miss firing,  so I'm changing
them. Could this be the reason for over heating and raw fuel
being dumped into the exhaust.

The cylinders may be miss-firing so you are going to replace them? Don't you mean spark plugs. Have it scanned for trouble codes at any local auto parts store and determine where and in what system the issue is. The do a proper diagnosis and don't throw parts at it.

I replaced all spark plugs and hoses yesterday. I'm waiting for another code test. I also replaced the vacuum hoses.

What's going on folks. OK so as an update... The truck is back to running! It so happens thar the vacuum hose was corroded and had a hole, so that was the issue to take care of. In any event all the parts I dumped into it, is now something that I don't need to worry about for a while. I'm also going to look for a newer engine with less miles on it. Yet another project to look forward to. Thanks for the input fellas!
