It's going to be a process of elimination. Easiest is to check the fuel pressure at the rail with a gauge, ensuring it is within specs. This will eliminate the pump. They are about twenty bucks. If pressure is low, has the fuel filter been changed in 20 years? Is the engine breathing? Will it run with the air filter out? Try cleaning the IAC. Do not use carb cleaner. Clean the throttle body. Etc.
