Water flow

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just replace the water pump and the Overflow Reservoir
but when I start the vehicle I can hear the water running
under the dash when I press on the accelerator is that a
problem and what do I need to do to solve it

Turn the defroster on high heat to ensure that the coolant is flowing through the heater core. Monitor the coolant level in the reservoir ..don't let it go dry. Common after replacing any of the following the radiator, water pump, heater core, or thermostat.

Either trapped air or partially clogged heater core. I've had a few do that
