Whats wrong with my F150

Asked by Raymond_Pizarro Feb 07, 2015 at 10:15 PM about the 1992 Ford F-150 XL 4WD LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ford F-150 XT 5.8L 4WD Automatic.

This is a few fold question. 1st. My speedo, digital odometer, cabin lights, cruise control, aux lighter jack, and radio do not work in my truck anymore. This is been going on since the fall and I am coming up short on figuring it out. It all stopped at or about the same time.

2nd I tried using my 4wd today with no success. I have auto locking push button, so when I press the button nothing happens. I am not sure if it is a the solenoid or a vacuum issue.

Take out the owners manual, it should contain a fuse diagram, check there first. If fuses are ok you or someone is going to have to locate a wiring diagram and check backward from the fuse to locate the problem(s).

Ford had some issues with the digital dash but I am not sure if it was that far back (1993). Certainly sounds like electrical. Be sure to check all the fuses and relays. I won't say a vacuum line is not the fault but I doubt it. I would like to know if you find out it is please.
