What is wrong with my car?

I was driving to work and my car started smoking. I
pulled on the side and there was no oil or water. I
went to purchase oil and water to put in the car
after it cooled down. Put it in the car and it still
smoked. So someone told me maybe the head
gasket blew or there weren’t enough oil due to it
being dried out. Anyways, I purchased more oil
today and it did the same thing. It wouldn’t start.
Do you all think it’s the head gasket or did I
possibly blow the whole engine?
