Guessing that the catalytic converter is plugged up and you are hearing some exhaust gases escaping through a small leak.

The most common hiss heard in that area on the I6 engine is on the plastic resonator on top, that says Vortec on it. Underneath it, is a curly hose, a lot of people forget to put it back on after removing it. There is also a PCV HOSE, no valve, on the drivers side intake, could be hissing if cracked or broken. Check the brake booster hose too.

You replace catalytic converters, not unclog them. A muffler shop can test the cat and replace it if needed.
