Possible wiring

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Okay. I have four gauges that are not working. Oil,
battery, fuel, and the other one in same area. The
battery gauge just quit working recently. My radio
will not turn on. My heat/air only works when on 1
or 2 for blower. Front power windows won’t do
anything but the two back ones work. Power locks
will not function except to click 5 times when
starting or stopping the engine. As far as I
remember I have checked all fuses. Does anyone
have any ideas? It has a brand new battery. Nothing
wrong with the alternator.

My thoughts are possible ignition problems but I
am by far NOT a mechanic. I do have a repair book
but do not have the owners manual.

Hi there, same color as mine lol. You could very well have bad stepper motors on the back of each gauge, not common for all to go out like that at the same time, but does happen. For your heat/air, your blower motor resistor (for manual controls) is bad. If you have automatic digital controls, it's call blower motor control module. It's on passenger side behind the glove box. Need to remove the plastic kick panel where your shins are, look up, it's there with 2 screws. Important!....buy the pigtail that goes to it also, these tend to melt and could have caused this problem. For your windows, there is a recall on the master switch (drivers side). See if your year is covered. Remember, if you buy new, it must be programmed. Used, is plug and play.
