Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Looking for answers on code issues. Engine light came on and stayed on.
checked gas cap. All good. I was told at a local auto repair shop that the code
was 169, but our local Ford dealer noted on the invoice that it was PO171.

P0171 is a lean air to fuel mixture on the side of the engine where the number one cylinder is. There's a service bulletin about this that your Ford Dealer should have known about. The most likely cause is a leaking upper plenum (intake manifold). Hope that helps! Jim
