Do you mean --when you say - "terminal fitting wrong" - you accidentally hooked it up backwards, Ground on Pos+ ...or do you mean the cable terminal is the wrong size? We need to work from there. You may have blown the diode in alternator, does the engine crank but not start? Or Nothing happens? What makes you say ECM is 'locked'? The more details you can provide the more help we can be
