Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When it rains my driver door ajar alarm goes off, the interior lights come on and go off, the driver side heated seat comes on and engine dies when idling.  Any idea what may be the cause?

Mark, Thank you for our answer. I have read on other forums that my problem could stem from a corroded ground wire found on the left side and back of the engine. I re-directed the ground the firewall ground (pictured) and my issue went away. I'm not sure if the fuse box dried out or the ground was the fix, I'll see what happens during the next downpour. Here are some pics if you run across another user with the same issue. Thank you again for your response. Greg Klein

I'm glad that you have a solution to the problem. That fix sounds reasonable. If you're adventurous, try squirting a hose on the hood. Let me know.

I did go through a car wash yesterday and nothing happen. I'll keep you posted after the next rain down pour.
