Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have tried everything but still can't get my coils to
fire on my 2003 Chevrolet Suburban. I have
changed my motor to a 2004 5.3 liter engine. I
have put a voltage meter on it and everything is
getting voltage on my wiring harness, all grounds
are connected but I still can't get it to start and gas
is going through fuel real. What should I do?
Please help because I have gotten very frustrated.

Did you swap in the correct ECU for your engine?

No! I bought the engine from a scrap yard. Can I program the one that's already in the vehicle?

I think you need to ID the engine and get the correct ECU. My standard advice when installing a used engine is to get the engine, wiring and ECU as a package.
