Is a amp capacitor enough to keep the BCM's memory even if I disconnect the battery?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm trying to reset the BCM. I unplugged the battery
for 10 minutes and it didn't work. Now I'm thinking
that either I didn't unplug the battery for long
enough, or the capacitor that I'm using for my amp
is providing enough power to keep the memory
stored in the BCM. Does anyone think that's
possible?

Disconnect the amp capacitor, disconnect the battery, briefly turn on the headlights while battery is disconnected. Like "tennisshoes" posted the best way to reset trouble codes is have them erased with a code scanner, although I am not sure if that will actually reset the BCM.
