I have a Ford 2001 Superduty F250 5.4 engine. Can a 6.0 (5c3z27a095-ca) be installed in place of original cooler?

Ford transmission cooler from 2005 6.0 engine. Can this filter be adapted to fit a 2001 ford 5.4 engine? I know a 6.0 can be adapted to fit a 7.3 engine but didn't know about the 6.0 cooler working on a 5.4 engine.
