Electrical,03 Chevy cavalier

Asked by Scott Jul 19, 2016 at 08:30 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier LS Sport Coupe FWD

My key out of the ignition,I can turn on my
left and right blinker and my security theft
system light is on and my Trac off light
stays on with key out. And can you use a
salvage yard ignition in this car if that's the
problem. I've tried the used ignition and it
won't start, but dose with the old one.any
suggestions.

You cant use another frequency KEY in your car the computer won't "read" it IF you have the skill set to do this Purchase a new lock and cylinder with KEY Next.. disassembly it and change the tumblers so your ORIGINAL OLD key fits into it properly. If you can''t do this just pay someone who can.. call around.
