My back brakes failed on my Mercedes 2006 E350 it won't allow me to go over 20 miles per hour what do I need to do

Do the breaks heat up while driving? May be locked up.

No that don't heat up or lock up or anyting display message says brake wear reduced braking power start engine

Then it sounds like you should take this in to have the brakes checked. Either there are sensors indicating brake wear so possible brake job, or something is wrong with the brake system, (ABS) system. This sounds like a safety feature.
