If you can't hear it run as you move through the different speeds on the switch, then it's your blower motor resistor or module depending on which temperature controls you have. ie. manual or automatic climate control. If you can still hear it blow while your engine is on, it's going to be your actuators that open and close the vents, they are a PIA to replace. Recently disconnect the battery?

I had the same thing happen to me, I disconnected the battery to replace it and did not know to not mess with the ac controls for two minutes to let the computer reset and now the vents do not blow air forward only through the defrost. My research tells me it is a PIA to fix as stated above so I just bought a oscillating fan that clips anywhere in the car to circulate the air and it works wonders, plugs into the lighter or aux power.
