2004 chevy trailblazer wont shift

Will start and drive for a sec then the
transmission just stops but i can stop and
shout off the truck and reset and will work
for a sec then the same thing

    Won't shift out of second gear, 1st gear, 2nd gear, and reverse work fine but 3rd and D just rev RPMs once it shifts out of 2nd.
