Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok guys. My lovely truck went haywire I got it for 2000. So
far I had to replace upper joints and throttle body reduced
engine power light comes on my truck goes off while still
on. Like I'm lost ran a test and could be a leak or map
sensor idk

I would think its the sensor haven't checked the fuel filter I dont think its a problem there. Note: the truck putters and shakes and turn off.

Check the wires that go to the throttle body, the connector is right in front. Check continuity on each wire, go back about a foot, check each wire. Likely check engine light is on. Have it read and report back with the code that's popping up. Not going to be the MAP sensor for this problem. Why a new throttle body? These don't usually go bad unless the throttle position sensor went bad on it.

Doh, just read your second note. If you just got the truck, I'd replace the fuel filter anyway, it's cheap. If I recall it's external on 04 (lucky you). If it's shaking badly and putters, I'm betting the check engine light is blinking?? Gotta have the codes read, please report back. These are very good engines/trucks, with many of of us between 200,000-400,000 miles on them with regular maintenance.
