Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Im trying to figure out what is wrong with my car.  I drive it for a while and I am at a stop sign or light or any situation which I have to idle.  What are the symptoms of a bad water pump?  so far I was told it was sensor switch, then air hose thing, then, plugs and #2 ignition coil. I am mistrusting these guys now and I have spent most of my savings.
can anyone help?

This is an extention to my question above I left out some info,.sorry, The car just shuts off? The engine light comes on the temp is 80-85 I can restart it, but I'm concerned it will hurt the engine. I thought it may be the water pump. The scan only showed the coil and 1 spark plug was bad but they said to replace all of them. That this was the cause of the problem, they were wrong I think its more serious and the engine cuts off to protect its system,,,, I could be wrong

Is your car over heating? If not I would not think you have a water pump issue. Have you checked the cel codes? If so what are the numbers? I am leaning towards a maf sensor issue from what I have been reading about your model of car.

I was told the diagnostic showed 1 spark plug and ignition coil #2 only showed up. It seems that it starts stalling when the temp goes above the 80 mark. The engine smells, but they said it was from a small oil leak.
