I had the same problem.I took mine to the Honda dealer. They said that the gas cap was not fully close.

The gas cap is possible. If you have it scanned for codes, that would let you know. You probably would have a po442 code.

I could be wrong about the answer but this happened to me once. If it isn't the gas cap, when was the last time you had your oil changed? If you oil was changed, did they reset the maintenance light, even if it wasn't on when the oil was changed? Have somebody scan your system but only if your maintenance light is ON.

I have had this problem with my 2006 Honda Accord EX. I have replaced the gas cap in excess of 10 times. The dealer said “buy only official Honda gas caps. I have and after a few months it goes into limp mode and the check engine light goes on. The issue is resolved when I unscrew the gas cap and put it back on. The check engine light will go off after a couple of days and engine restarts. It’s so annoying. My husband has a 2008 Accord EX and it never does this.
