Car not starting after driving without priming after setting overnight

It is most likely the fuel pressure regulator, or fuel pump is getting really weak. I'd try a fuel pressure test, if you don't have equipment most parts stores will loan you the tools. Usually if a car of this generation sits half a day and can't start without priming it's the regulator.
