2004 impala drivers side no heat!

Hi;  I have no heat on the drivers side on dual control model.
I have changed the control panel. I have also attempted to recalibrate the actuator by pulling the fuses and waiting before replacing.
The AC works fine, but no heat on drivers side. Passenger side OK.  Everything else, fan control, defrost vent positions etc., seems to work OK.
What else should I check before I have to tear dash off to get to blend door?
Replacing parts unnecessarily gets expensive.

You are going the right direction, the actuator which control,s the blend door from driver side,is stuck,or bad actautor motor.

OK tks, how do I test/fix this or is it just replace and hope it works?
