front wheels sticking out and back not

Asked by semajelah Apr 08, 2012 at 11:25 PM about the 2004 Chevrolet Blazer LS 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 04 blazer 4x4  and I just put aftermarket rims on it and they are all the
same size but the front wheels stick out and the back ones fit normally. Any ideas
on what the problem could be?

You probably ended up getting some 2wd wheels by mistake. A friend of mine put some (4) on a 96 2dr 4x4 and it looked like a roller skate. I am pretty sure the back spacing is different.

either that, or one set may be offset which would make them stick out mroe- some people get the rear ones offset so the tires stick out a little farther.

The front axle is also one inch longer than rear from hub to hub. The larger and wider the wheels the more noticeable it will be.

like mike said the front is wider than the rear for tracking reasons you just never noticed it with the stock wheels because they dont have a big offset.
