Ac recharge

My car started stulling when we tried to re charge the ac
and the rpm gage staryed acting funny and it feels lime its
going to die what could that be

Did you actually use A/C gages to charge it or just add it from a can? You may have over filled the system so now the compressor is having trouble with too much liquid in the system.
