truck is completely dead

Asked by GuruPGQDL Jan 31, 2020 at 12:07 AM about the 1998 Toyota Tacoma 2 Dr STD Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck was running fine then 3 hours later it was completely dead. I could hear a
fan running under the hood, sounded like it was in front of drivers side. Fan
would stop when I pushed in clutch and brake but motor won't turn over like
battery is dead

I've got a 98f150 been parked for a while now I need to use this vehicle went to crank it up it trys to start like it runs for a second then dies acts like not getting fuel

Might be the alternator if you can jump start it and remove the battery Post and it dies it is very likely what's going on and if your lights are dim
