Is the battery clamped into place? Are the battery cables stretched? Are the cable ends properly connected?

After KenF's good advice, Check the Negative (-) wire at the frame connection point. (it could be loose / broken / corroded any of which will effect the battery's ability to work ) . Take the battery to a national auto parts store to see if it is still good ( the insides could have been damaged during your event) . Look for any other wires that may have been broken during the batterys fall.
