Steering not working properly

Asked by Hippie61 Nov 26, 2020 at 06:26 PM about the 1996 Toyota T100 2 Dr DX 4WD Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I start into a curve. The truck tries to
go straight. I barely turn the steering wheel it
sort of jerks a little. But goes on through the
curve fine. Any ideas what's causing it.

I'd have the steering rack and steering rag joint inspected, and also the steering components like the ball joints and tie rod ends. A 24 year old truck can have lots of worn parts. Do this ASAP, you don't want an accident.

Thanks but I have already changed tie rods, pitman arm, idle arm,. Put new tires on and had realigned.
