Battery hooked up wrong when replaced

My buddy hooked up the battery wrong when replacing it
now I don't have anything we got to jump took it to get gas
and the when you press on the gas pedal you get a little bit
of acceleration it won't come out of first and when you
initially it's stuck in park and you have to bypass it with the
little button there next to the shifter and my brake lights
don't work nothing works I need help please somebody
help

Check the fuses, usually they blow main fuses. But this sounds like it messed up the main computer also, a programming might work but that has to be done at a dealer.

This usually causes bad things. It sounds like you ran the car after you noticed the wrong hook up so the battery might have survived but I doubt it. Take it to a reliable shop and have the entire electrical system checked under load. If the ECM has not been fried, consider it a good day and fix the other components.
