how do I replace the front left "door check " on a 2004 Sienna ?

Not sure of your exact vehicle, but some bolt on and others need to be welded. I replaced a check strap on a Saab once that needed to be welded. If that is the case I would take it to a local muffler shop or body shop.

I don't know why you said you were not sure of my exact vehicle when it was stated in my question above. The question was how do I replace it, not repair it. Do I have to remove the door panel, etc.
