I had brakes and catalytic convertors put on my 2001 Toyota Siena and the vsc and abs lights are still on. Will they stay on for a certain amount of miles or does the mechanic turn them off?

It should turn off after the repair.

Just changing the brakes will not make the ABS or VSC (traction control) light go off. You need to have a scanner hooked up to read the codes and find out why they are on. Could be any number of reasons.
