2005 malibu classic

I recently bought a 2005 malibu classic. Every
so often it will chime 5 times slow and then go
into spasms chiming. It might stop for a bit and
then start again. Sometimes it does it
repeatedly. Anyone know what's causing this?
There are no warning lights coming on

Is the check engine light on? If so have the codes read to know what is going on.
