Overheating

The temp gauge on my 2005 Sequoia would rise as I sat at a stop light but would level out once I started moving down the road. I checked my coolant reservoir and it was just below "L". So I just stopped and got the guy at Auto parts store to add Coolant to the fill line.  So now I driven it a couple f miles, it seems to do the opposite of what it was doing before.  Now, the temp gauge rises when I'm moving but levels off when I stop.  HELP!

first thing to try is to bleed the air out of the coolind systen while it is running..

Your gauge should remain stable. As mentioned by Kelly, you should bleed the air out. If no progress, you should check your water pump and replace the thermostat. Check if the radiator fan is running properly. The water pump could be the issue because of a bad impeller not circulating enough coolant as constant speed thru the engine.
