2005 impala starts with clunk soubs

Asked by Kashif_511 Aug 29, 2018 at 07:16 PM about the 2005 Chevrolet Impala FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car starts with clunk sound only when
engine is hot. Sometime with extended
crank time. Sounds like some mechanical
part reset. Want to make sure that this
trouble relate to starter or something else.
Cold engine starts fine without clunk
sound. Other symptom getting very little
vibration when idle without a.c. this
vibration is same and constant rhythum.
when I turn a.c on vibration reduces more
than 50%. Want to know both troubles
relates with each other. Any suggestions
for this. Thanks

Your engine is knocking, a knock usually indicates a “ thrown rod” and if that’s the case your engine is blown.usually this happens from no oil.
