Asked by GuruFTYW8 Apr 18, 2020 at 04:53 PM about the 2005 Chevrolet Equinox LS AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am trying to take the oil pan off, but after removing all bolts it is very secure to
the block. Tried to pry and wasn't successful. Was told that it may be held by
dowel pins. Is this correct?

Did you make sure you removed all pan bolts should be 12 pan bolts and 6 front and back bolts. I'm having same issue oil pan not coming loose they must of used a lot Atv gasket sealer at factory so your not alone in the issue.
