1991 land cruiser Battery/electronic

Asked by Jacklamator Dec 13, 2014 at 04:54 PM about the 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need help with a 1991 land cruiser problem. When i start my car it's at a normal 12
volt, but when i gas or am driving it, it starts increasing my battery bolt to about 18
volts.

One time, it made my battery so hot that it started spewing acid from the battery. So
at this high voltage, it's ruining my battery life and im unsure what the problem is and if
it's affecting any of my electronic system.
