My rear running lights / license plate lights do not work, all other lights are ok

changed bulbs, fuse blows when turning on headlight /dimmer switch

Has to be short,at the place you replaced bulb,s,check wire,s and bulb socket it self.

If you have a trailer harness with the conversion adapter, that may be your problem. Same thing happened to me. If you expose the box and smell it it might smell like an electrical short. I clipped the brown wire and put a new fuse in and voila.
