Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My daughter can't figure out where to
plug this in on her 2001 Toyota Corolla.
It's supposed to plug where they test
emissions or something. Usually under
the steering column

Look for the OBD2 port. It may have a plastic cover.

Is it under the steering column?

It should be in that area. You may have to look up under the dash to see it. Look at the device to know what the port looks like.
