i'm sure you've resolved by now, but i recently ran into this issue and was able to fix. Basically upon removing my chair, external parts and the seat bottom, I was able to detect that the side brace frame was cracked. Originally, I thought i had to buy the OEM part. I was able to mcguyver a thick piece of sheet metal, braced to broken pieces with 4 thick sheet metal screws. Hopefully is holds on. Hope this helps.
