Did the ethanol in the fuel affect the performance of the engine.??they als0 said that it was n0t good for my carburator is these all true?

What's your 93 corolla doing with a carburetor? The answer IMO is yes, ethanol dilutes the real fuel. I have to dump fuel cleaner in my tank at least once a month cuz of the ethanol. I actually think it's water build up, but it makes the engine miss and act up if I completely ignore it.
