What happened when my Toyota celica GT is Overheating

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can I add coolant so it won't overheat

You can add coolant if the level is low. Don't add coolant directly to the radiator if the engine is hot as you can get steam burns. Add to the reservoir.

A 18 year old car is probably way overdue for a cooling system service. Flush, new hoses, radiator, water pump, coolant etc. If you have never serviced the system you need to.
