i am looking to buy a 2001 toyota celica gts with 240000 yes or no>>>???

I would have a mechanic check it and perform a engine compression test.

Toyota engines are well- built and very reliable (One reason Lotus cars use a Toyota engine)....However, as recommended above...Have a trusted mechanic do a compression test and also check for engine noises and any leaks. This may be a 2 owner car and there's always a possibility that at least ONE of them didn't take optimal care of the car (Case in point: My GF waits too long between oil changes, despite my constant nagging).

at 240,000 miles everything is under suspect of failing. This car better be real cheap unless paperwork can be shown proving a bunch of work

Well I will tell you this I bought a 92 celica gt conv got it pretty cheap body good rag top fair paid 1500.00 for it has 245689 and climbing already drivin over 5000 mile's since i bought run's great only problem hit a deer and finding part's are expensive but still a great car hope this help's
