Warning light

Asked by zachoz Jan 22, 2012 at 01:46 PM about the 2004 Toyota Camry Solara SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

yesterday a light came on.  it is the exclamation point in the circle.  from reading the manual, I thought it indicated that my brake fluid was low so I topped it off (it was exactly half between the min and max levels before i filled it).
The light is still on and I was wondering what else could cause this light to go on.
I visited the dealer to see if they could pull a code to give me a list of potential causes but they refused and instead wanted me to make an appointment for a 3-4 hour diagnosis....

Don't know if it is related, but I have owned the car for about 6 months now and yesterday was the first time driving in snow with it and the first time the ABS has ever kicked in (and it did it a lot).  even though the ABS light is NOT on, could it be related?

Hey never mind guys. Turns out that despite adamant claims by my dealer (a legit toyota dealer) the owner's manuals for the solara and the camry are NOT the same so I assumed the warning light I was looking at was something else. This is the fix to my problem....reset the tire pressure sensor http://library.motoralldata.com/techRef/WebHelp/Tire_Pressure_Monitor_Reset_Procedures/Toyota/2004_Solara.htm
