whe the maintance light or service engine soon light stays on then you should take vehicle to the shop and have the codes read it can be as simple as oil change is needed to internal problem in the engine transmission drive train that can lead to totaling the vehicle before you are ready to get another one ore even killing someone from part going out or a fire that you cannot get out from it is a preventative mantinance light to save money and lives
