How do I bypass transponder key

Asked by HelpaHonda Mar 30, 2020 at 06:57 AM about the 2000 Toyota Camry Solara SLE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Lost the key to my 2000 Toyota Solara SLE v6
and with the coronavirus issue going on
extremely limited in what I can do to try to get
a new one since the price is so much and I am
without a job and have no money I read
somewhere before that there was A plug on or
near the CPU that once unplugged
deactivated all security features if anyone can
help me figure this out it would be greatly
appreciated it happens to be the only vehicle
we have and my girl needs to be able to get to
and from work for one and two it’s been
sitting in the same spot too long in front of
tany help would be greatly appreciated and
the sooner the better since tomorrow is street
sweeping day and my girl goes back to work
tomorrow since her job is considered essential
tohe house which is street sweeping every
couple weeks and I’m afraid it’s about to get
towed since the tags are bad on it and they
don’t need they put a three day notice on the
window before they can tow it. If the parking
police happen to stop which they normally do
but for some reason haven’t closed a week
and decide to write a ticket for it they’ll just
thought since the tags are bad Any help
would be greatly appreciated and the sooner
the better since tomorrow is street sweeping
day and my girl goes back to work tomorrow
since her job is considered essential enough
to remain open since it’s a cast-parts
corporation that’s also government
contracted. So please help me figure out how
I can start my car without my key in the
easiest and cheapest way! Thank you. And if
it’s preferred which kind of is with me in order
to keep this information from those who would
abuse that information I. E. Thieves, you can
send me any responses to the following email
vacarsa3 @gmail.com And if need be from
there I can give you the phone number to get
a hold of me or you can give me yours to get
a hold of you to speak in person if that’s
preferable

The only options are a competent locksmith or your local Toyota Dealer. The system cannot be bypassed!! Whatever you do, DO NOT rip the ignition lock cylinder out and try to start it with a screwdriver!! You will do several hundred dollars in damage to the vehicle and it still won't start!! Hope that helps! Jim
