A thud and a jerk from transmission

Asked by Vy Jan 07, 2013 at 12:01 AM about the 2006 Toyota Camry LE V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car doesn't have any shifting problems but when ever I go to stop quickly, there is a thud and a jerk
that occurs. when ever i go to stop slow and steadily, it's fine and there is no problems  I have tried
changing the transmission fluid but there is still a thud and a jerk. I do not know what is wrong with my
transmission, so i was wondering if anyone has this problem and know's how to fix it.

Have you checked your CV joints. I have had them act this way before. It can feel like your transmission. It not, your transmission is probably having some sort of internal problems.

I have an 03 LE Camry V6. I'm experiencing the exact same problem you are. I'm taking it into the shop tomorrow. Did you ever figure out what the problem was?
